Deconstructing Jerry #27, Jerry Walden, 2007
The Artist’s Way Creative Recovery Group
This 12-week therapy group is based on Julia Cameron’s The Artist’s Way, a bestselling guide to reconnecting with your creativity and sense of self. The book draws on the power of spirituality and creating mindful habits to allow you to engage with the artistic version of you that you’ve lost along life’s journey. Whether you’re a blocked artist/writer/designer, an overworked caregiver, or someone who is seeking a more inspired life as a creative, this group offers a supportive space to rediscover your inner creative potential.
Each week, we will meet to reflect on a chapter from The Artist’s Way and how that chapter fits within the context of our lives. We will share insights from Morning Pages and Artist Dates as well as engage in thoughtful, therapist-facilitated discussions. You don’t need to be an artist to join, just bring curiosity about yourself and a willingness to explore.
See below to find more information about the group schedule, cost, insurance, and how to get started!

“No matter what your age or your life path, whether making art is your career or your hobby or your dream, it is not too late or too egotistical or too selfish or too silly to work on your creativity.”
